The Broward Sheriff’s Office in North Lauderdale is partnering with Home Depot for a workshop focused on building to the community.
The ‘Building Bonds with BSO’ workshop will take place on Saturday, October 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Home Depot located at 1195 State Road 7.
This free event is designed for children aged 3 to 12 and is open to all residents of North Lauderdale and the surrounding areas. Parents or legal guardians are required to accompany their children throughout the workshop.
The ‘Building Bonds with BSO’ workshop will feature raffles, giveaways, free food, and, most importantly, a hands-on building experience with deputies from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
Each child participating in the workshop can choose their building kit that they will learn to construct with the guidance of skilled Home Depot staff.
Each participant will receive a Home Depot apron and a certificate of completion to commemorate their achievements.
In addition to the building activities, the North Lauderdale Fire Rescue Department will conduct a special fire prevention presentation. This presentation will educate children and parents about essential fire safety practices.
For more information about the event, contact Deputy Jessie Alvarez at 954-720-2269.
