Residents needing essential food ahead of the holidays can pick up donated goods without leaving their vehicles at an upcoming drive-thru distribution event.
The City of Tamarac will host the Farm Share Food Distribution Drive-Thru event on Friday, October 25, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Tamarac Sports Complex at 9901 Northwest 77th Street.
Vehicles will be directed to enter the car line from Northwest 77th Street. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
A variety of nutritious food items will be available. Supplies are limited, so residents are encouraged to come early.
Farm Share, a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger, has partnered with the City of Tamarac for this event. Farm Share ensures that surplus food is repurposed to serve families and individuals who most need it.
For additional details or to volunteer, contact the event organizers at (954) 597-3620.
