Feeding South Florida, a domestic hunger-relief organization, has tried to ease some of the burdens families face after finding themselves in financial hardships.
Although several cities have ended their regular food distributions, they continue in Tamarac by providing food to those in need. Upcoming Feeding South Florida food distribution events in Tamarac include:
Saturday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Korean United Methodist Church, 6501 W. Commercial Blvd.
Wednesday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Christian Life Center, 2699 W. Commercial Blvd.
Saturday, June 20, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Korean United Methodist Church, 6501 W. Commercial Blvd.
Wednesday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Christian Life Center, 2699 W. Commercial Blvd
Saturday, June 27, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Korean United Methodist Church, 6501 W. Commercial Blvd.
Broward County Public Schools started its Summer Meals program at 49 school sites throughout the district, where the Grab-and-go meal service will be open from 10 a.m. through 1 p.m. on Tuesdays.
