The J.P. Taravella cross country team began their season in the Conquistador Kickoff on August 25.
With 14 schools and over 140 runners, the Trojans finished fifth overall, led by Scardy Fils, who finished 25 with a time of 19:45.6. Anthony Duncan placed second on the team at 20:16.4. In contrast, Dominguez Martinez and Ali Mustfa finished 36 and 37, respectively.
Elijah Vessels cracked the top 50, while Donald Lee finished 51. Akeem Beckford, Craig Dennis, and Darren Garson also competed for the Trojans.
