Police say a near shootout unfolded outside Bliss Nightclub when a Lamborghini driver pulled an AK-47 on security guards, prompting them to draw their own weapons.
According to a Lauderhill Police Department arrest report, Macalum Troy Lindo, 39, of Lauderhill, the owner and register of a business called Lindo’s Car Rental, was taken into custody early April 20 following the incident at the nightclub located on Northwest 19th Street.
According to arrest records, the situation began when Lindo arrived at the club and argued with security after being told he could not park his Lamborghini in a reserved space. Despite being instructed not to park there, Lindo allegedly ignored the warning and then attempted to enter the club, where he was denied entry multiple times.
Witnesses told police that Lindo became increasingly angry, recording security guards with his phone and repeatedly getting into their personal space. At one point, a security guard briefly took his phone before returning it, further escalating tensions.
According to the report, Lindo then walked back toward his vehicle and made a statement to security guards, saying, “I got something for y’all,” before opening the passenger-side door of the Lamborghini.
Investigators say Lindo retrieved an AK-47 rifle, inserted a magazine, chambered a round, and pointed the weapon in the direction of multiple security guards. The guards told police they feared they were about to be shot and drew their own firearms while ordering Lindo to drop the weapon and leave the area.
Lindo then placed the rifle back inside the vehicle, got into the driver’s seat, and fled the parking lot, heading westbound on Northwest 19th Street.
Officers responding to the scene quickly located the Lamborghini near North State Road 7 and conducted a felony traffic stop. Lindo exited the vehicle and was detained without incident, according to the report.
A search of the vehicle revealed the rifle on the passenger-side floorboard with a round in the chamber, along with additional loaded magazines.
Police said Lindo later told officers he only moved the firearm from one side of the vehicle to the other and denied pointing it at anyone.
Lindo was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail.
