Alejandro Arancibia {BSO}
A man was arrested and charged with indecent exposure after being caught masturbating at a urinal in the Sawgrass Mills Mall restroom.
According to the Sunrise Police Department, on January 21, officers responded to multiple reports of a man masturbating at one of the urinals inside the mall’s men’s restroom. The call was placed by a witness who described the man, who was later identified as Alejandro Arancibia, 45, of Tamarac, as wearing a blue shirt, jeans, and black curly hair.
Upon arrival, officers observed Aranciba standing several inches away from a urinal in the act of masturbating with his right hand. The officer immediately ordered him to stop and put his genitals away before they began a further investigation.
Records show the witness told officers he was using a nearby urinal when he noticed Arcancibia masturbating steps away from the urinal. He said he could see his fully exposed, erect penis and his testicles were visible outside his pants.
The witness described Arancibia’s masturbation methods as vulgar and aggressive. Feeling disgusted and concerned about the possibility of children being present, the witness called 911.
Arrest records show that during questioning, Arancibia admitted to officers that he had an “itch” and that stroking his penis provided relief. When asked why he did not use a private stall, he claimed he “didn’t have time” and believed only adults were in the restroom. He further admitted to getting “pleasure” from masturbating while in open areas.
Arancibia was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail. He was later released after posting a $1,000 bond.
