The City of Tamarac invites women who are veterans to a special luncheon event in honor of their service.
Mayor Michelle J. Gomez will host the special luncheon honoring women veterans on Friday, July 12, at 11:30 a.m. at The View at Colony West, 6850 Northwest 88th Avenue.
Mayor Gomez is a longtime, steadfast advocate for veterans and emphasizes acknowledging their contributions.
“The event will be a celebration of these local heroes and an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for their service, sacrifice, and valor,” Mayor Gomez tells Tamarac Talk.
The Mayor also added that the rigorous demands of serving deserve recognition, “It takes a lot of training and dedication to serve in our country’s armed forces. I’m very proud of our military, especially the women who serve for showing their strength.”
The Mayor said the luncheon will recognize the contributions and provide a space for veterans to connect and share their experiences. “It’s an honor for me to host these amazing women, and I hope this celebration will show them how much our community truly admires and respects them!”
Attendees are requested to RSVP by Friday, July 1. Reservations can be made by emailing MayorGomezEvents@Tamarac.org or calling (954) 597-3460.
