Broward County Animal Care is excited to introduce two lovable pets in search of their forever homes: Remy, a sweet 7-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier, and Oreo, a handsome 5-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat.
Remy
Remy, ID #A2333770, is a gentle and affectionate senior dog, ready to live out her golden years in peace. At approximately 7 years old, Remy enjoys life’s simple pleasures, such as leisurely walks, tasty treats, and cozying up on a couch or chair for some relaxation.
While Remy had a difficult past before arriving at the shelter in April 2024, she is now thriving and eager for a loving home. She and four other dogs were surrendered when their owner could no longer care for them, and Remy remains the last dog still waiting for adoption.
Although she has cohabitated with other dogs, Remy prefers a quieter space in her senior years. She’s ready to bring her calm energy and joy to her new family.
Remy is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and fully sponsored by The Pet Project, ensuring she will receive free food, vaccines, monthly preventatives, and reduced-cost medical care for the rest of her life.
Oreo:
Oreo, ID #A2083704, is a striking black-and-white kitty with a playful personality and a strong desire for companionship. At around 5 years old, Oreo is looking for a home after his previous owner died.
He arrived at Broward County Animal Care with eight other cats, all of whom had already found their forever families. Oreo, who enjoys leading interactions, warms up quickly and loves being petted and rubbing up against his human friends.
Oreo is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, ready to make his new home today.
