2025 Furever Friends Pet Expo. {City of Tamarac}
Tamarac’s four-legged residents—and their humans—had a tail-wagging good time as more than 400 people attended the Furever Friends Pet Expo on February 22 at Tamarac Park.
Mayor Michelle Gomez stated in her monthly update that she and Commissioner Wright are grateful to the nine pet rescues and companion organizations that were on-site, along with the American Red Cross, which conducted Pet CPR sessions, and Tamarac Fire Rescue, which conducted hands-on CPR.
Pet owners enjoyed expert training tips and browsed a variety of vendors showcasing pet food, health products, and services. One of the highlights of the event was the Red Carpet Pet Parade, where some of Tamarac’s most fashionable furry friends strutted their stuff.
Families met adoptable dogs, cats, and birds, and several attendees began the adoption process on-site. Donations of pet food, toys, clothing, and supplies were also collected to benefit local animal shelters.
Face painting, music, and surprise visits from Oopsie the Clown and Sparky rounded out the festivities, making it a memorable day for pets and people alike.
