Arfington Pet Resort celebrated its grand opening in Tamarac with a party for dogs and their owners on July 26.
Dog owners who are going out of town and want to give their furry family members a pleasant vacation may wish to consider Arfington. The opening included a party for dogs, their owners, and vendors who work with pets.
“We offer dog day care with structured play, rest time, and overnight boarding in clean, cozy suites,” said Pablo Agudelo, who owns Arfington with his wife Camila Velez.
The dog resort includes pools and large play areas for dogs. Velez, a certified Reiki expert and animal advocate, will offer calming Reiki sessions for dogs. An important goal is to build trust with pet parents, creating a nurturing environment and making every visit fun because every dog deserves to feel safe and happy, according to Velez.
There is a strong emphasis on cleanliness, pet safety and security, love, and playtime for all dogs. Agudelo said the dogs will receive belly rubs and massages.
Tamarac offers a good location for a pet business, according to Velez. “We chose Tamarac because we love the people here and believe this is a good place for our pet resort,” she said.
The cost for a day at Arfington is $30, and overnight stays range from $60 to $75, depending on the dog’s weight, according to Agudelo.
Arfington is located at 3910 NW 49th Street. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
