Nonprofits across South Florida are still digging out from the financial strain of back-to-back hurricanes, rising operational costs and an increasingly competitive funding landscape. Many are stretched thin as they work to sustain critical community programs.
Hoping to ease that burden, U.S. Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, D-Fla., will lead “Get Grant Ready! A Funding Clinic for FL-20 Nonprofits” on Thursday, June 12. The hands-on workshop is designed to help organizations secure the grants and resources they need to grow and thrive.
“Join me for Get Grant Ready and take the next step toward securing the funding your nonprofit deserves,” Cherfilus-McCormick said in an announcement. “I hope to see you there.”
The event runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Urban League of Broward County, 560 NW 27th Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Space is limited; attendees are asked to RSVP online.
Cherfilus-McCormick’s Tamarac District Office is located at 5701 NW 88th Avenue, Suite 200 (954) 733-2800.
