The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Tamarac responded to various incidents from Aug 25 to Aug 31, 2026. Below is a detailed account of the incidents and arrests handled by local law enforcement during this period.

Incidents

Theft

Walgreens at 6401 W. Commercial Blvd. was the victim of retail theft on Aug. 25. Four individuals allegedly entered the store and left without paying for $43 worth of merchandise.

Dunkin’ at 7003 N. Pine Island Road was the victim of a burglary on Aug. 28. An individual allegedly entered the unlocked business overnight, went into a cash room and stole $400.

Marshalls at 4197 W. Commercial Blvd. was the victim of a retail theft on Aug. 29. An individual allegedly stole approximately $215 in clothing before fleeing.

Fraud

A resident reported on Aug. 25 that an unknown person opened an energy account using the victim’s name. The incident reportedly occurred on Oct. 25, 2025.

Grant Property Management at 7124 Nob Hill Road reported being the victim of fraud involving a loss of approximately $39,093. The report was filed Aug. 26.

Assault

An aggravated assault was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 26. A man reported that a former employee chased him with a screwdriver following a verbal dispute.

Shooting

Deputies responded to a report of gunfire at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 26. The area was secured and searched with assistance from the BSO Aviation Unit. No victims, suspects or property damage were found. Shell casings recovered at the scene were submitted for processing.

Battery

A battery was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 26.

A battery was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 28.

An aggravated battery was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 28.

A domestic battery was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 28. A man allegedly struck another person in the face with a closed fist.

A battery was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 28 after a woman allegedly threw orange juice at another person.

Traffic and Drug Offenses

Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle near Woodlands Boulevard and West Commercial Boulevard shortly after midnight on Aug. 29. The vehicle allegedly fled from deputies.

Deputies conducting traffic enforcement near the northbound Sawgrass Expressway off-ramp on Aug. 28 arrested a driver under Florida’s super speeder law. Deputies reported finding psilocybin during the investigation.

Court Order Complaint

A possible violation of a court order was reported at an undisclosed residential complex in Tamarac on Aug. 26. Deputies determined that no formal restraining order was in place and that probable cause for arrest had not been established.

Domestic Disturbances

Deputies responded to an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 26 after a verbal dispute between a mother and daughter. No physical altercation was reported.

A dispute involving a child’s clothing and other belongings was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 27. No physical altercation occurred.

Deputies responded to a family disturbance involving a person experiencing a mental health episode at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 27.

A verbal domestic dispute involving finances was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 28. No injuries or physical altercation were reported.

A mother contacted deputies on Aug. 28 after her adult daughter left their Tamarac residence against her wishes. Deputies determined that no crime had occurred.

A verbal altercation involving a child’s parents was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac residence on Aug. 29. One person was issued a trespass warning and left without further incident.

A verbal dispute between a mother and daughter over a curfew was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 29. No physical altercation occurred.

Deputies responded to a property dispute at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 30. The matter was resolved before deputies arrived.

A possible domestic disturbance was reported at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 31. Deputies received no response at the residence and were unable to reach the caller by telephone.

Other Incidents

Deputies responded to several calls involving people experiencing mental health crises between Aug. 25 and Aug. 30. Those individuals were transported to medical or behavioral health facilities for evaluation.

Death investigations were conducted at undisclosed Tamarac locations on Aug. 25, Aug. 27 and Aug. 28.

A harassment complaint was documented as an information report at an undisclosed Tamarac location on Aug. 26.

A resident turned over a deceased person’s firearm for destruction on Aug. 27.

A person riding a bicycle collided with another individual at an undisclosed Tamarac location. The injured person sustained minor cuts and was treated by Tamarac Fire Rescue.

A resident reported not receiving an Amazon package that had been ordered earlier in August.

Arrests

Eliezer Duranza Pumar, 20, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery on Aug. 26.

Anthony Lamar Hamilton, 40, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill on Aug. 26.

Fritz Junior Finisse, 22, was arrested on a felony warrant on Aug. 28.

Pamela Denise Moore, 36, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery on Aug. 28.

Morris Hunter, 64, was arrested on a charge of dating violence battery on Aug. 28.

Manauryz Perez, 32, was arrested on a charge of battery on Aug. 28.

Kamryn Danyel Jones, 22, was arrested on a battery warrant on Aug. 29.

Terrance Michael Post, 19, was arrested on a charge of battery on a law enforcement officer, firefighter or emergency medical worker on Aug. 30.
