The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Tamarac responded to various incidents from Aug 18 to Aug 24, 2026. Below is a detailed account of the incidents and arrests handled by local law enforcement during this period.

Incidents

Aggravated Assault

A delivery driver reported being threatened with a knife in Tamarac on Aug. 18. Deputies responded to investigate the incident.

Criminal Mischief

Deputies investigated property damage reported Aug. 18 after a sliding glass window and balcony screen were found damaged. The estimated damage was $960. No surveillance footage identifying a suspect was located.

Theft

A Publix at 8245 NW 88th Ave. reported that a business phone valued at approximately $1,050 was stolen by a customer. The theft occurred between Aug. 15 and Aug. 16 and was reported Aug. 18.

Burglary Conveyance

A woman reported that after a vehicle collision on Aug. 18, a man reached inside her vehicle and removed her keys.

Aggravated Battery

Deputies investigated a domestic-related incident reported Aug. 19 that included allegations of two robberies by sudden snatching, aggravated battery with a weapon resulting in injuries, victim tampering, violation of conditional release and residential burglary. A 1-year-old child was reportedly present during much of the incident.

Retail Theft

A vehicle battery valued at approximately $240 was reported stolen from Advance Auto Parts, 7500 NW 57th St., on Aug. 19. The store reported that a man took the battery without paying.

Battery

A woman told deputies Aug. 19 that her ex-boyfriend pushed her and broke her television. She told authorities she wanted to pursue charges.

Attempted Vehicle Burglary

A man was reportedly seen pulling on a vehicle door handle in Tamarac on Aug. 19 before leaving the area on a dark-colored bicycle.
Battery

Deputies investigated a domestic dispute Aug. 19 in which a son allegedly threw rocks at his uncle.

Threats

A victim reported receiving threats from an unknown person in Tamarac. The incident was reported Aug. 20.

Vehicle Burglary

A woman reported Aug. 20 that an unknown person entered her vehicle. Nothing was reported stolen, and deputies processed the vehicle for fingerprints.

E-Bike Theft

An e-bike valued at approximately $570 was reported stolen outside a Walgreens on Aug. 20. Surveillance footage reportedly showed a man taking the bicycle and leaving the area.

Auto Theft

A Tamarac resident reported a vehicle stolen Aug. 21 after discovering it missing outside. The vehicle was entered into law enforcement records as stolen.

Criminal Mischief

A woman reported Aug. 22 that the windshield of her white Alfa Romeo had been cracked after an encounter with her ex-boyfriend. A rock was found nearby, and the damage was estimated at approximately $2,000.

Battery

Two male roommates got into a physical altercation over cleaning their home on Aug. 22. Deputies reported conflicting accounts and described the men as mutual combatants. No arrest was made.

Mango Theft

A Tamarac resident reviewed surveillance footage and reported seeing an unknown man enter his backyard, take multiple mangoes and climb a tree to take more. The loss was estimated at $20.

Retail Theft

An unknown woman was reportedly seen shoplifting approximately $82 worth of merchandise from Marshalls, 4197 W. Commercial Blvd., before leaving on foot. The incident was reported Aug. 23.

Battery

A man told deputies he was battered by an unknown woman while jogging in Tamarac on Aug. 24. He reported no injuries.

Fraud

A Tamarac man reported approximately $578 in unauthorized transactions involving his business bank account. The transactions reportedly occurred in Miami Beach in June.

A woman reported an unauthorized $340 transaction involving a bank card stored on the Klarna app. She told deputies she disputed the transaction with her bank, but the claim was denied.

Another victim reported losing approximately $930 in a Cash App-related fraud reported Aug. 19.

Arrests

Lorence Bendross, 37, was arrested Aug. 18 on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

Christopher Van Webb, 32, was arrested Aug. 19 on a domestic battery charge.

Anthony Drew Parker, 65, was arrested Aug. 20 on a felony petit theft charge involving a third or subsequent offense.

Geyler Otano Ordunez, 35, was arrested Aug. 20 on a domestic battery charge.

Jhamar Courtney Leakey, 31, was arrested Aug. 22 on a felony charge of armed trespassing.

Jerry Bernard Johnson, 68, was arrested Aug. 22 on a felony charge of battery on a person 65 or older.

Brandon Jean Bernard, 24, was arrested Aug. 22 on a domestic battery charge.

Adrian Jermaine Wright, 34, was arrested Aug. 23 on a charge of operating a vehicle more than 50 mph over the speed limit.

Tion Lestian Anderson, 40, was arrested Aug. 23 on a dating violence battery charge.
