On May 6, a victim discovered their Social Security number was found on the dark web after an Experian identity check.
Fraud – Credit Card
A suspect used the victim’s name to open a credit card and charged $667 in merchandise. Reported May 7.
Fraud – Check Alteration
Between February 24 and May 5, a suspect altered and cashed a $6,400 check originally written to the Broward County Tax Collector.
Fraud – Scam
A woman reported on May 8 that she had been scammed out of $6,800.
Stalking
A woman told police on May 8 that her on-and-off girlfriend was stalking her at home and work.
Battery
A man reported on May 8 that a co-worker grabbed him around the neck.
On May 9, a woman was allegedly struck by a male friend at a hotel.
A man was kicked in the back and threatened with a knife in a May 11 assault.
At the Gary B. Jones Dog Park on May 11, a man said he was punched in the face by a senior male.
Aggravated Assault
A man allegedly threatened a woman after a verbal argument on May 8.
Theft
On May 8, a suspect refused to return car keys, valued at $300.
A car trailer worth $4,030 was stolen from a business between May 4 and May 9.
A burglary of a vehicle was reported on May 8 with a $600 loss.
An electric scooter was stolen from a CVS on May 10.
Domestic Disturbances (Non-Criminal)
Verbal altercation between roommates on May 7.
A boyfriend and girlfriend argued on May 12; one made a suicide threat and was Baker Acted.
Baker Act / Marchman Act
A woman expressing suicidal thoughts was Baker Acted on May 8.
A man behaving belligerently toward his wife was transported for evaluation on May 9.
Lost/Found Property
Personal items were reported lost on May 8.
A firearm was found in a hotel room on May 12.
Missing Persons
A person was reported missing between May 8–11.
A second individual walked out of a memory care facility on May 12 but was later found safe.
Information Reports
Unrelated neighbor dispute, suspicious mail deliveries, roof leak dispute, and other non-criminal matters.

Martha Cecilia Molano, 57 – Burglary of unoccupied structure (Felony), bond set at $10,000.
Jake Jake James, 29 – Loitering or prowling (Misdemeanor).
John Brown, 38 – Petit theft of under $750 (Misdemeanor).
Patrick Allen Simmons, 41 – Battery – touch or strike (Misdemeanor).
Alens Charles, 38 – Simple assault with intent to threaten violence (Misdemeanor).
Wendell Joseph Toussaint, 36 – Battery causing bodily harm – domestic violence (Misdemeanor).
