Crimes and Incidents
Aggravated Battery: On May 23, a woman allegedly stabbed her fiancé in the hand with a kitchen knife during a domestic dispute. The incident occurred between 9 and 11 p.m. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic violence and aggravated battery. The victim declined medical treatment and did not press charges.
Robbery: On May 22, two suspects reportedly stole chicken from a Publix at 4121 W Commercial Blvd and threatened to shoot a store employee. The estimated loss was $30. One arrest was made.
Auto Thefts:
A vehicle was reported stolen overnight between May 19–20.
Another vehicle, valued at $20,000, was reported stolen between May 21–22.
Burglary to Conveyance: Between May 20–21, a vehicle parked at a residence was burglarized. Items worth $1,330 were stolen and later used fraudulently in Miami Gardens.
Criminal Mischief: On May 22, four juveniles entered The Greens Condominiums’ community center and caused over $1,000 in damage to property.
Battery:
A domestic battery occurred on May 20 involving a man who allegedly punched his girlfriend.
Another incident involving dating violence was reported on May 24.
Theft: A license plate was stolen from a vehicle between May 19–20.
Threats/Intimidation: On May 22, a man reported finding a recording device in his vehicle and receiving threats via Instagram from someone in Michigan.
Missing Person: A delayed report was filed on May 21 regarding a missing person last seen near W Commercial Blvd and the Turnpike southbound ramp.
Lost Property: A resident reported losing a binder containing a flash drive.
Recovered Property: Auto parts previously reported stolen were recovered on May 21.
Information Reports: Multiple reports were filed for:
Fraudulent request for a birth certificate
Online photos posted without consent
Child abuse investigation
A child was found walking alone with a fishing pole
Domestic non-criminal disputes
Baker Acts: Multiple individuals experiencing mental health crises were taken into custody under the Baker Act throughout the week.
Arrests
Olgeuns Volcy, 37, was arrested for domestic battery on May 20.
Shanice Shakkara Hinds, 29, was arrested for retail theft over $750.
Samuel Hallas, 18, was arrested on charges of lewd or lascivious battery involving a minor.
Chakara Rashawn Glasco, 38, was arrested for failing to ensure her child’s school attendance.
Amanda Margaret Krom, 37, was arrested for domestic battery.
Nicholas Salter, 33, was arrested for robbery without a weapon.
Kevon Kadeem Brown, 35, was arrested for grand theft between $5,000–$10,000.
Zieon Lee-Tenant Edmond, 22, was arrested for drug possession without a prescription.
Arithia Ann Cooper, 39, was arrested for false imprisonment.
Kiana Shonice Brown, 29, was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (domestic violence).
Junior Jeannot, 31, was arrested for dating violence battery.
Jordan Steven Alliman, 24, was arrested for battery.
