Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through September 26.
Theft
A 36-year-old male was the victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on NW 61 Street on 09/19/2023. The total estimated loss is $900. The victim’s vehicle was found on cinderblocks with two wheels missing.
A 74-year-old male was the victim of Theft -All Other Southampton Terrace on 09/19/2023. The total estimated loss is $2,400. The victim is reporting a theft of a check.
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd. The total estimated loss is $115. A subject entered the business, loaded a black plastic bag with products, and left without paying.
A 49-year-old female was the victim of Theft – All Other on NW 49 Street on 09/20/2023. The total estimated loss is $5,000. The caller advised that her items were taken by Tow Maxx towing when they towed her vehicle from her apartment complex.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Business on NW 55 Court on 09/19/2023. The total estimated loss is $10,000. The caller advised four individuals stole ten rolls of copper wires from his business, valued at $10,000.
A 21-year-old female was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 96 Terrace on 09/20/2023. The total estimated loss is $500. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole the steering wheel airbag.
A 33-year-old male was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 96 Terrace on 09/21/2023. The total estimated loss is $1,000. An airbag was taken from a Honda Civic.
A 31-year-old male was the victim of Burglary Conveyance at W Commercial Blvd on 09/23/2023. The total estimated loss is $150. Unknown suspects broke into the victim’s vehicle and stole a pair of White Nike Air Force sneakers from the backseat.
Threats / Intimidation
An 18-year-old female was the victim of Threats / Intimidation on NW 57 Court on 09/19/2023. The victim’s ex-boyfriend uploaded nude photos to Instagram of the victim.
A 53-year-old male was the victim of Auto Theft on W McNab Road on 09/20/2023. The victim’s 1997 white Nissan Maxima was stolen.
Robbery
A victim of Robbery on W McNab Road on 9/20/2003. The total estimated loss was $3000. Two males robbed the victim of $ 3,000 and fled in an Infiniti Q Series.
A 19-year-old male was the victim of Robbery on NW 96 Terrace on 09/21/2023. The total estimated loss is $1,800. Unknown males robbed the victim over a clothing transaction.
A 53-year-old male was the victim of Robbery on W Commercial Blvd on 09/26/2023. The total estimated loss is $900. An unknown person robbed the victim.
Fire
A Fire on W Prospect Road on 09/21/2023. A 1997 Mazda B 2300 caught fire while driving on the public road.
A Fire on W Commercial Blvd on 09/25/2023. The reporting person advised his vehicle went up in flames, and his dog was inside the car as it did. A 2017 Honda Accord valued at $15,000 and a white Wheaton Terrier Dog valued at $1000 were lost.
Fraud
A 40-year-old male was the victim of Fraud – All Other on N Plum Bay Parkway on 09/26/2023. The total estimated loss is $1,478.00. The victim advised that an account from AT&T was opened and is now in collections.
Forgery
A victim of Forgery on W Commercial Blvd on 09/25/2023. The business is reporting a forgery. The total estimated loss is $7,500.
Arrests
Cochran, Mycaijhia, Zcliche, Carrie, 20, was arrested on a charge of Fraud-Impersonation-False Id Given To Leo at 6225 N Pine Island Road/Lagos De Campo Blvd on 09/26/2023.
Castillo, Victor, 19, was arrested on a Warrant – Grand Theft Auto charge at NW 57th Street on 09/26/2023.
Richland, Wendy, 67, was arrested on a Larceny -Petit Theft 2nd Degree 3rd Subsq Offense charge on NW 57 Place on 09/19/2023.
Watson, Convey, John, 34, was arrested on a Trespassing Property Not Structure or Convey charge on NW 58 Street on 09/22/2023.
Corvil, Richardson, 28, was arrested on a charge of Larc-300 Less 10K Dollars from 65YOA on Southhampton Terrace on 09/25/2023.
