Tamarac Fire Rescue is now hiring individuals to join its award-winning, top-accredited team of first responders.
The 2023 and 2024 ALS Competition Team Florida Cup-winning Tamarac Fire Rescue team is hunting for new members to help continue the department’s reputation as one of the nation’s best.
Applicants can expect a starting salary of $73,077.08, which includes holiday pay and a pension plan that provides 85% of the wage after 25 years of service.
The department recently approved a new three-year contract, effective October 1, 2024, which includes cost-of-living adjustments of 7% in 2025 and 6% in 2026. Education incentives are also available, with $2,600 annually for those holding a bachelor’s degree and $1,560 annually for those with an associate’s degree.
