Tamarac residents are encouraged to attend an upcoming HOA meeting focused on preparing the community for a potentially active hurricane season.
The City of Tamarac’s Community Development Housing Division will host its Quarterly HOA Liaison Meeting on Wednesday, June 26, at the Tamarac Community Center.
The meeting, which will run from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., will be double as a hurricane preparedness safety expo, aiming to educate the community on essential safety measures during and after a hurricane.
The event will feature an extensive lineup of emergency agencies and disaster response organizations to help provide attendees with vital information and resources, including information advice on developing effective evacuation plans, assembling emergency kits, and ensuring home safety during hurricane events.
The list of organizations that plan to attend the HOA meeting includes Tamarac Fire Rescue, the Tamarc Building Department, Tamarac Code Compliance, the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Broward Outreach Centers (The Caring Place), the Red Cross, and the Broward County Office of Emergency Management.
