Runners will have the opportunity to participate in a 5K event at the Tamarac Sports Complex on the morning of Saturday, October 11.
The run/walk event will benefit breast cancer awareness and local charities. Olympic Gold Medalist Yohan Blake will attend the run, according to Tamarac Commissioner Marlon Bolton, who is leading the event.
The Tamarac Sports Complex is located at 9901 NW 77th Street, Tamarac. In-person registration will begin at 6:00 a.m., and the run will start at 8:00 a.m. Individuals will be encouraged to run or walk at their own pace. People can also register at Tamarac.Gov/Cure.
For a $25 registration contribution, runners/walkers will receive a gift bag and an event souvenir.
