Temple Beth Torah Shar’aray Tzedek in Tamarac FL.
Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek will celebrate Tu B’Shvat, the Jewish “New Year of the Trees,” with a special community Seder on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the synagogue’s Social Hall at 5700 NW 94th Ave., Tamarac.
The festive event is open to the community and features a traditional Tu B’Shvat Seder — a ritual meal focusing on nature, renewal, and gratitude for the earth’s bounty. Inspired by Kabbalistic practice, the seder includes symbolic fruits and other foods that reflect the cycle of growth, connecting participants to the natural world and Jewish heritage.
Much like the familiar Passover seder, which commemorates the Exodus from Egypt, a Tu B’Shvat Seder centers on appreciation for trees and the environment and often involves blessings over a variety of fruits and wines or grape juices served in differing shades to reflect the seasons.
Admission is $18 for adults and $8 for children. Registration is available online through the temple’s event page. tbtst.org
