The City of Lauderhill is set to host a Walk for Peace to raise gun violence victims and awareness.
The community event, held by Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn, takes place on Saturday, June 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Lauderhill Police Department, located at 6279 West Oakland Park Boulevard.
As part of National Gun Violence Awareness Month, the Walk for Peace aims to honor victims of gun violence and increase awareness about the critical issue.
Attendees are encouraged to wear orange, symbolizing their support for gun violence prevention and solidarity with affected families and individuals.
The event will begin with registration at 7:00 a.m. and end with the community walk at 9:00 a.m.
