The Broward Sheriff’s Office is holding an educational gathering tailored for the senior community, aiming to tackle prevalent scams.
BSO has announced a Senior Safety Summit on Saturday, March 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Tamarac Community Center that aims to arm seniors with the knowledge and tools they need to protect themselves against the increasing threat of scams.
The event will cover a wide range of topics, including the latest scams that are most prevalent in targeting seniors, practical tips on recognizing and avoiding these scams, and the steps to take if one believes they have been a scam victim.
