The Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the 2024 BizArt in the Park event on Saturday, February 3.
This free community event at Hampton Pines Park promises to be a vibrant blend of arts, crafts, and cultural celebration.
Scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 7800 Hampton Blvd, North Lauderdale, the event features over 40 vendors showcasing diverse arts and crafts.
This unique arts and craft show, sponsored by the City of North Lauderdale and Waste Management, is an exhibition and a gathering of local businesses, artists, crafters, and nonprofits.
The theme for this year’s event is dual-fold: Celebrating Black History and Valentine’s Day. Following the success of previous years, local North Lauderdale schools will participate in a school poster competition echoing the event’s theme.
The previous themes of World Peace in 2019 and Saving the Environment in 2023 saw winning Biz Art posters being displayed around the city, adding a vibrant touch to local buildings.
Peter Mason, Executive Director of the Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative. “Local school student artwork on local buildings greatly inspires the community. Every time I visit North Lauderdale, I look at the artwork.”
The event on February 3 will not only display school poster entries but also offer a platform for attendees to purchase unique, handmade pieces.
There will be information booths from sponsors and local businesses, along with various music and live performances for entertainment. Groups like the Inspired Dance Studio from North Lauderdale and the Champa Chameli Dance Academy are set to captivate the audience. Additionally, a range of food and refreshments will be available for enjoyment in the park.
