The Broward Sheriff’s Office is holding an educational gathering tailored to the senior community to tackle prevalent scams.
BSO has announced a Senior Safety Summit on Saturday, June 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Tamarac Community Center at 8601 West Commercial Boulevard. The summit aims to arm seniors with the knowledge and tools they need to protect themselves against the increasing threat of scams.
The event will cover a wide range of topics, including the latest scams most prevalent in targeting seniors, practical tips on recognizing and avoiding them, and the steps to take if one believes they have been a scam victim.
The summit is free to attend. Light refreshments will be available.
