The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one man dead on Wednesday.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office Public Information Office is actively working on a developing incident involving a fatal shooting.
According to information provided to Tamarac Talk by a BSO Public Information Officer, the incident occurred at the 7000 block of Northwest 79th Avenue at approximately 7:31 p.m. after someone reported shots fired.
District deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue arrived at the scene shortly, where they discovered an adult male victim with a gunshot wound.
Law enforcement established a perimeter around the area, and Tamarac Fire Rescue pronounced the adult male deceased at the scene. The preliminary investigation suggests that the victim was inside a vehicle at the time of the shooting, drove away from the scene, and ultimately collided with a nearby pole as he succumbed to his injuries.
The BSO Homicide Unit has been notified and is actively investigating the circumstances of the incident.
