‘Groove-on-the-Grass’ Concert Series Returns on May 2

The City of Tamarac will host a starry-night music event featuring a band that pays homage to the most outstanding female country artists.

In another rendition of its “Groove on the Grass” concert event series, this one is set for Friday, May 2, at the Tamarac Sports Complex, located at 9901 Northwest 77th Drive, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The featured entertainment for May will be the Women of Country Tribute band, featuring Samantha Russell. This high-energy cover band performs iconic hits made famous by the leading ladies of country music.

With songs like “Fancy” and “Man! I Feel Like a Woman,” “Crazy,” “9 to 5,” and “Before He Cheats,” the show celebrates legendary female artists such as Reba McEntire, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, The Judds, Patsy Cline, and more in a powerhouse tribute to the queens of country music.

Admission to “Groove on the Grass” is free for all. This is a family-friendly event.
