Local Songwriter Writes Song Dedicated to “President Trump”

One resident thinks Donald Trump would make such a great president, he wrote a song about him.

Songwriter Mitchell Stone of Tamarac said he was inspired to write the song “President Trump”after he had developed an interest in politics during his years as a news anchor in South Florida where he worked at radio stations 940 WINZ and WNWS NewsTalk-790, and his interest continued in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attack on New York City’s Twin Towers.

In 2009, Stone taught himself to play guitar. Since then, he’s written more than 200 original songs. One of them, “My Christmas Card to You,” was recorded by legendary Marni Nixon.

“I believe Trump is the best 2016 presidential candidate to rally America back to great times, and to command the respect the United States deserves on the world stage” said Stone.

A self-made man who followed his plan to be all he could be

Our chance to get back to Number One in education, defense, and pride
To make America great again, this man will be our guide

He’s come to be what can only be called a leader in the Land of the Free
