The City of Tamarac is offering homeowners the opportunity to refresh their property’s appearance and receive assistance with the costs through its 2025 Neighborhood Curb Appeal Program.
This city-sponsored initiative provides reimbursement funding to qualifying residents who make improvements to their home’s exterior. It targets projects that enhance curb appeal and ensure compliance with city codes, including exterior painting, soffit and fascia repairs, driveway and sidewalk repairs, landscaping maintenance, junk and debris removal, garage door replacements, irrigation system installations, and even roof cleaning or minor repair work.
To be eligible, applicants must reside in the home as their primary residence, have no outstanding code violations, liens, or open permits, unless the project addresses these issues, and meet income limits based on Broward County’s Area Median Income (AMI).
Income brackets are divided into 50%, 80%, and 120% AMI tiers, with caps ranging from $40,350 for a single-person household at 50% AMI, up to $182,640 for an eight-person household at 120% AMI.
Funding will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until the program funds are exhausted. Applicants are required to complete a four-step process that includes verifying eligibility and submitting a formal application with supporting documentation, such as a driver’s license, mortgage statement, proof of ownership, and comparable contractor estimates.
