
Rabbi Mauricio Balter
Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek will host Rabbi Mauricio Balter, Executive Director of Masorti Olami and MERCAZ Olami, for a special discussion on the future of Israel and the global Jewish community.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 20, at 6:30 p.m.
Rabbi Balter, a leader in the Masorti/Conservative Jewish movement, will address critical issues facing Israel and Jewish communities worldwide. Topics will include Israel’s role as a Jewish and democratic state, divisions within the Jewish world, and the significance of Conservative Judaism in shaping the future.
Masorti Olami, headquartered in Jerusalem, represents more than 70,000 Masorti/Conservative Jews across five continents. Its political arm, MERCAZ Olami, advocates for religious pluralism in Israel.
Attendees are invited to join Rabbi Balter for services at 6 p.m. before the main program begins.
