Annual “Have a Heart” Valentine’s Day Fashion Show and Luncheon goes virtual due to Covid-19.
An afternoon of fun, food, and fashion is hosted by the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County (AAABC)
Held on Monday, February 14, at 11.45 a.m., the event will feature local community leaders and elected officials acting as models, including Tamarac’s very own commissioner Debra Placko, senior advocate Liza Erazo, North Lauderdale mayor Ana Ziade and others, all wearing the latest fashions and designer clothes from Macy’s at Coral Square in Coral Springs.
Each attendee will get a goodie bag and a delicious lunch of their choice delivered to their door before the event’s start by Deliver Lean.
“We are so grateful and appreciative of everyone who is coming together to support this event,” said Charlotte Mather-Taylor, AAABC’s Chief Executive Officer.
She added that the agency is asking the community to celebrate the theme of love and “open their hearts to the seniors in the community” by spending Valentine’s Day at the online event.
The luncheon includes a “True Love” raffle, offering a chance to win a Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood “Party Like A Rock Star” gift basket containing an authentic electric guitar, a one night stay, and dinner for two at one of the casino’s fine dining restaurants.
Sponsorships, program book ads, event tickets, and raffle tickets are available for purchase.
Proceeds from the event help fund AAABC’s programs and services, which serve more than 451,000 Broward County seniors annually and allow them to continue to live life to their fullest potential.
