Tamarac low-income families can receive backpacks full of supplies for kids for the new school year.
The city of Tamarac is starting its annual Back to School Backpack distribution, with appointments available August 8 – 15. All applicants must provide proof of household income with a 2022 tax return or the last three paystubs; proof of guardianship via a birth certificate or court documents; and proof of Tamarac residency with a photo ID, lease, or a bill.
Parents can call Social Services Division to pre-register and to make an appointment at 954-597-3626. All appointments are held at the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 West Commercial Blvd.
