The Skate Park at Tamarac Sports Complex has been made over with new artwork.
The Tamarac Public Art Committee worked with three artists and spent $48,000 to complete the project.
According to Ciera Campbell, spokesperson for the City of Tamarac, artists DJ Chery, Marcos Conde and Stephanie Leyden brought their own ideas to the Park.
The Tamarac Public Art Committee believes the wall artwork will create a vibrant environment for skaters. The city and the committee are committed to transforming Tamarac’s public spaces by including public art, according to Campbell.
The Skate Park is for Tamarac residents and the public for open skating. The Tamarac Sports Complex is located at 9901 NW 77th Street. Park hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day.
