Vice Mayor Bolton Launches Autism Support Initiative for Tamarac Families

Parents of autistic children are truly heroic.

During the May 13 meeting, Vice Mayor Marlon Bolton presented a community hero award to mothers who care for autistic children.

Then Bolton announced he would create the Circle of Love Initiative, a program to support families of children with autism. He said meetings will be held so mothers can discuss what Tamarac can do to help them.

“We will focus on autism. I want to hear directly from mothers who are caring for autistic children about what we can do to help them. I want to provide them with resources and support,” said Bolton.

He said the date and location for the first Circle of Love meeting will be finalized and announced in early June.
