Students at Millennium Middle and Challenger Elementary School in Tamarac were evacuated today after reports of a suspicious package were reported at the middle school.
Just before dismissal at the middle school at around 3:30 pm and after most of the elementary school students had left, the students were evacuated, single file, across the street to a field, located next to the Caporella Aquatic Center. Officials instructed parents of students evacuated to pick up their children from the Aquatic Center.
At this time, it still remains unclear what the device is.
