Shaunakay Tiffany Dibben and Tashanna Stanley {BSO}
Two women are facing felony charges following a violent altercation outside a Tamarac IHOP, where one was injured after being struck with a crowbar.
According to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit, deputies responded to a reported fight around midnight on Saturday, June 14, in the parking lot of the IHOP located at 6101 North University Drive. Upon arrival, they made contact with the women, identified as Shaunakay Tiffany Dibben, 36, of Pompano Beach, and Tashanna Stanley, 36, of Pompano Beach.
Records show Dibben told officers that the conflict began as a verbal dispute with Stanley, which grew increasingly heated when she allegedly “disrespected her” and touched her face, causing apparent injuries.
Dibben admitted to deputies that she retrieved a crowbar from her car’s trunk to “intimidate” Stanley while she yanked her out of the vehicle. She claims that once she got back in the car, she realized Stanley had stolen her Samsung Galaxy phone.
A physical fight broke out again, during which Dibben allegedly struck Stanley multiple times with the crowbar, causing serious injuries to her arm.
Records show that witnesses told deputies that while the confrontation occurred in the parking lot, Dibben’s young child remained unattended in her vehicle on the side of North University Drive.
Both women were arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail.
Dibben was later released after posting a $6,500 bond. Stanley was later released after posting a $1,500 bond.
