The award-winning theatre department at JP Taravella presents Leading Ladies starting on February 28 through March 2nd.
From the reputed pen of Ken Ludwig, author of audience pleasers Crazy for You and Moon Over Buffalo, comes the adventure of Jack and Leo, two English Shakespearean actors down on their luck, who hatch a desperate plot to pass themselves off as the long lost nephews of the rich, old Florence Snider to win her inheritance.
Plans go awry and the two are comically forced to don dresses after discovering the long-lost nephews are actually nieces. Disastrous decisions result in a farce-filled comedy with a zing and contemporary flair, both hallmarks of Ludwig’s plays.
Leading Ladies is directed by Lori Sessions and will be performed at JP Taravella High School at 10600 Riverside Dr. Coral Springs, Fl 33071.
Performances are February 28, March 1 and 2nd at 7:00 pm and all Tamarac and Coral Springs Residents are welcome to attend. Tickets for Adults are $10.00 and for Students $7.00 available at www.taravelladrama.webs.com and can also be purchased at the box office one hour prior to the show for $12.00.
