Karen Gonzalez plans to hire more than 50 people for Teleperformance’s North Lauderdale office.
Those who are hired will handle incoming phone calls from bank and automotive customers. They will earn $16 to $20 an hour and receive full medical benefits, a 401(k), vacation, and on-site discount daycare.
Gonzales was among a group of businesspeople and artists at the Biz Art in the Park at Hampton Pines Park in North Lauderdale on February 7. The Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce hosted the event.
“We offer a good work environment, pay, and benefits, and we are looking for enthusiastic people,” said Gonzalez, a recruiter. She encouraged people to apply at Teleperformancecareers.com.
The City of North Lauderdale Recreation Department was promoting an upcoming movie night on Friday, February 20. Visitors will watch the Tuskegee Airmen at 6:45 p.m. on the City Hall Lawn at 701 SW 71st Ave, North Lauderdale. The event is free.

Kasey Stump, owner of Bakin Sunshine Home Bakery, also enjoyed the event and sold cupcakes. She runs a bakery from her home and often participates in community events.
“This event had a good atmosphere, and I had many customers,” said Stump.
Morgan Daley, of Margate, who produces affirmative visuals, said Biz Art was a good community event, and that she enjoyed participating.
Claudia Bristco of Tamarac, an abstract painter, said the event was wonderful. “I am a self-taught artist, and I think this was a good event for me,” she said.

Acrylic and resin artist Teena Ege of Coconut Creek said she loved participating in Biz Art and considered it a positive activity.
