Chief Jonathan Frasher {City of Tamarac}
Tamarac city officials announced on Thursday that the city has named a new fire chief to replace Chief Michael Annese, who has retired.
On its social media accounts, the city congratulated new Fire Chief Jonathan Frasher, formerly Tamarac Fire Rescue’s deputy chief, on his appointment to the top job.
“Chief Frasher brings over 20 years of dedicated service to Tamarac with a strong background in fire rescue operations, strategic planning, and interagency coordination,” the city said in an Instagram post. “He recently led the department to accreditation and has served as Operations Chief, overseeing emergency response efforts.”
Earlier this month, the city announced Annese had retired from Tamarac Fire Rescue after 27 years of service. Under Annese’s leadership, the department joined Broward County’s Closest Unit Response Program, administered more than 2,000 COVID vaccines, and maintained top accreditations, officials said.
