Joe and Jellybean at Broward County Animal Care.
Meet Broward County Animal Care’s Pets of the Week: Joe, a 6-year-old American Staffordshire, and Jellybean, a 5-year-old Domestic Shorthair.
Joe
Joe (A2370713) is a spirited lover-boy whose tail never stops wagging. Found as a stray by a kind officer from the Broward Sheriff’s Office in the City of Tamarac, Joe has been waiting patiently for over 7 months for his furever family.
This friendly guy is always eager to make new friends and soak up all the pets he can get. Joe’s love for toys is matched only by his affection for people; his vibrant personality and friendliness make him a staff and volunteer favorite!
Joe appears house-trained, keeps his kennel nice and tidy, and knows basic commands. Joe is also social with other dogs; he enjoys getting rough and rowdy with pups his size during shelter playgroup.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship from The Pet Project, Joe comes with the added benefit of free food, vaccines, and reduced-cost medical care for the rest of his life.
Jellybean
Jellybean (A2348061) is a charming kitty who has had a bumpy start; abandoned in front of Animal Care in March 2024, Jellybean was quickly adopted but was sadly returned at the beginning of this year when she struggled to adjust.
Now, back with us, Jellybean is on the lookout for a patient and loving family who can see past her initial shyness to the snuggly, affectionate companion she can be. With her adorable pink toe beans, she’s a pro at turning any moment into a cuddle session. Jellybean is not just a master snuggler; she’s also a professional biscuit maker. Her kneading skills are legendary and are her unique way of showing love to those around her.
Jellybean dreams of a cozy lap to curl up in and a home to call her own. Are you ready to add a sprinkle of sweetness to your life with this sweet lady?
