
{Lauderhill Fire Rescue}
A man was shot in Lauderhill Monday morning, police said.
Two suspects opened fire on the victim around 11:05 a.m. at 4051 Northwest 19th Street, according to the Lauderhill Police Department. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
A bystander helped the wounded man by driving him toward a nearby hospital. Along the way, the bystander spotted a Lauderhill Fire Rescue truck and flagged it down for help, according to police.
The victim was then rushed to a local hospital for treatment and was recovering on Monday.
According to the victim, the two shooters fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
Detectives from the Lauderhill Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene investigators responded.
The motive for the shooting was unknown Monday afternoon, and no suspects had been identified, police said.
