City of Tamarac’s 50th Anniversary Time Capsule Dedication
On Friday, the City of Tamarac held its 50th Anniversary Time Capsule Dedication at the Tamarac Community Center.
Instead of burying it, this Time Capsule, which resembles a piece of furniture, will sit in the lobby with glass artwork above which was created by glass artist Christopher Reisert from Reflective Collections, Inc., and the cabinetry housing it by furniture designer Angelo Maybin.
Shred-a-Thon and Drug Take Back Breaks Records in Tamarac at Kings Point
On March 8th, Broward Sheriff’s Office held a Shred-A-Thon and Operation Medicine Cabinet prescription drug take back event in Kings Point in Tamarac where 502 cars lined up to take part, beating last years record of 478.

Independence Day in Tamarac 2011
The weather was fantastic Monday evening July 4th. as hundreds of residents walked or drove to the Tamarac Sports Complex to spend Independence Day with friends or family. There was live music, an appearance from Uncle Sam and Betsy Ross, bounce houses and activities for children. American Flags were passed out by City of Tamarac employees.
